About The Authors

Ms. Okram Ricky Devi, is currently pursuing Ph.D (Agri.), Agronomy in Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Assam. She has completed her under-graduation from CAU, Imphal (COA, Pasighat) and Master’s degree in Agronomy from G.B.P.U.A&T, Uttarakhand (2021). She was a recipient of Junior Research Fellowship by ICAR AIEEA (PG).She has cleared ASRB/ICAR-NET in Agronomy discipline (2021-2023). She has published 22 research and review articles in national & international journals, 15 book chapters and many popular articles. She also co-authored a competitive book of agronomy and an edited book. She has presented research papers in national and international conferences. She is also a peer reviewer in NAAS rated International journals (Indian & USA publishers).

Dr. (Mrs) Nayanjyoti Ojha, is currently working as Professor, Department of Agronomy in AAU, Jorhat, Assam. She joined this university as Assistant Professor in the Department of Agronomy in 1988. She completed her Ph.D.(Agri.) in 1997 and promoted to Associate Professor. In the year 2006, she joined as Professor in the same department. She has experience of almost 36 years in teaching in UG,PG and Ph.D. courses. As a major adviser she produced 10 M.Sc. students and 3 Ph.D, students. Presently she has been supervising 2 M.Sc. and 4 Ph.D. students. She published more than 35 research papers in various national and international journals. She also wrote one book and one book chapter. She is the life member of Indian Society of Agronomy. She is presently the treasurer of Indian Society of Agronomy, Assam Chapter.

Mr. Bibek Laishram, is currently pursuing Ph.D. (Agri), Agronomy in AAU, Jorhat, Assam. He has completed graduation from Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, Punjab and Master’s from PDDUIAS, Utlou, Manipur. He has 2 years work experience on “AICRP on Soil Crop Response Experiment” project under the ICAR Research Complex for North-Eastern Hill Region, Lamphel Manipur. He has published 14 research articles, 8 review papers in national & international journals, 12 book chapters, 5 popular articles and 1 edited book. He is also a peer reviewer member of NAAS rated journals (Indian and UK publishers). Research interest fields are nutrient management, organic farming and climate smart agriculture.

Dr. Kalyan Pathak, is presently working as Professor & Head, Department of Agronomy, AAU, Jorhat. After completing his PG, Agriculture (Agronomy), in 1993 served for more than three years in Assam Remote Sensing Application Centre, Guwahati in a Department of Space, Govt. of India as Project Scientist. He joined AAU as Assistant Professor in 1996 and worked in Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Cachar, Nowgaon and Golaghat. He visited International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), Philippines for participation of International Rice Research Conference during April, 2000. He acquired his PhD degree from G.B.P.U.A.&T., Pantnagar in 2005 (in service). He also served as Senior Scientist in AICRP on Irrigation water management since 2009 . He was the Associated Scientist from Assam Agricultural University for the Project Development and Implementation of Assam Agribusiness and Rural Transformation Project(APART) funded by World Bank since 2016-17 . Dr. Pathak also guided 10 M.Sc(Agri.) and 03 PhD students as Major Advisor. He has published 55 research articles in the National and International Journal, 5 edited books, more than 12 book chapters & over 55 popular articles. Presently, He is the Nodal Officer of the Natural Farming Project funded by Govt of Assam since 2022-23. He is also worked as Chief Agronomist (i/c) of AICRP of Integrated Farming System, AAU, Jorhat.
